Darkness is nothing but absence of light. Peace is nothing but absence of violence. If this is something to go by, then we stumble upon a very interesting inference which is also quite confusing. Is it possible to attach a proper definition to nothing? If we are to take the same road as the examples mentioned above, then we would end up defining nothing as absence of everything. There is however an amusing contradiction here. Everything, by its very literal meaning, means just about everything on a very broader range, which interestingly also includes nothing, if nothing is to be considered as an entity. If nothing is included in everything, then it means that whenever you say everything, you also mean to say you have nothing, since; nothing is a part of everything! Conversely whenever you say you have nothing, it means that you also have a portion of everything, because, nothing is a subset of everything. This coexistence of nothing and everything follows exactly the same rules that exist between matter and anti-matter!
